iPhone prototype founder goes public, regrets his action

Brian J. Hogan, a 21-year-old resident of Redwood City, California, is the guy who found the iPhone prototype which was later reviewed by Gizmodo. Brian admits that he sold the device to Gizmodo for a price of $5000. His attorney Jeffrey Bornstein says that Gizmodo emphasized Brian that “there was nothing wrong in sharing the phone with the tech press,”

Brian also says that he received the payment for allowing the tech blog an exclusive access to review the phone. Brian also regretted his action by not doing much to return the phone to its owner.

“He regrets his mistake in not doing more to return the phone,” says Bornstein’s statement. “Even though he did obtain some compensation from Gizmodo, Brian thought that it was so that they could review the phone.”

While this mystery gets solved, it is still unknown how another prototype got to Vietnam.
